Kinesiology is all about identifying, understanding and releasing stress in the body. It is a natural therapy that uses gentle muscle monitoring to ask questions of the body - allowing the therapist to access conscious and unconscious information related to whatever stress is being worked on.
To resolve these stresses, kinesiology draws on a lot of different therapies - chiropractic care, Traditional Chinese Medicine, acupressure, reflexology, psychology and can include work with sound, crystals and essential oils. It is a holistic approach to wellness that can assist with:

The mind and the body are inextricably linked. Mind Body Medicine practitioners believe that very little happens physically in the body that doesn’t originate in the mind. Most of us can remember a time we had pain in the body and we couldn’t figure out why. Perhaps we went for tests and they all came back negative. Or the pain stuck around for a couple of weeks or months and then disappeared as suddenly as it came. Or perhaps you’re still dealing with some sort of chronic pain. In Mind Body Medicine we look at the psychological connection behind physical ailments to cultivate lasting change and healing.
A joint Mind Body Medicine and Kinesiology approach can help peel back the layers and get to the heart of the issue, instead of just treating the symptoms.
During a first session we will discuss your health history and talk about what is going on with you - mind, body and soul. Together we will choose a goal or an issue on which to focus. Your body will be asked what it wants and needs for healing to occur. When the best method has been revealed you will be encouraged to drop into a healing state of relaxation. We may hold acupoints to address a certain physical injury or psychological need. We may use sound or crystals to bring your energetic vibrations back to balance. We may explore your chakras to discover any blockages. We may look at releasing negative thought patterns and beliefs - using any of the above mentioned methods. We may just end up working on releasing stress - by whichever means the body asks for. The session is very much led by you, your body and its needs.
We'll finish off by going back through our work, discussing anything that came up for you, looking at what might have shifted and ways for you to continue the work at home. Sessions can be weekly, fortnightly or as required.
Every body is different and so every session will look different. Profound shifts can occur physically, mentally and emotionally and these sessions can benefit everyone.
