Kinesiology and Energetic Medicine
Kinesiology / Mind Body Medicine
Cronulla Clinic or online

Kinesiology is all about identifying, understanding and releasing stress in the body.
It is a natural therapy that uses gentle muscle monitoring to ask questions of the body - allowing the therapist to access conscious and unconscious information related to whatever stress is being worked on.
To resolve these stresses, kinesiology draws on Traditional Chinese Medicine, acupressure, reflexology, psychology and can include work with sound, crystals, and essential oils. It is a holistic approach to wellness that can assist with many things including, but not limited to:
- Stress and anxiety
- Physical pain
- Low energy levels and fatigue
- Insomnia
- Postural issues
- Limiting beliefs and negative thought patterns
- Emotional and psychological distress
- Digestive complaints

The mind and the body are inextricably linked. Mind Body Medicine practitioners believe that very little happens physically in the body that doesn’t originate in the mind.
Most of us can remember a time we had pain in the body and we couldn’t figure out why. Perhaps we went for tests and they all came back negative. Or the pain stuck around for a couple of weeks or months and then disappeared as suddenly as it came. Or perhaps you’re still dealing with some sort of chronic pain.
In Mind Body Medicine we look at the psychological connection behind physical ailments to cultivate lasting change and healing.

A joint Mind Body Medicine and Kinesiology approach can help peel back the layers and get to the heart of the issue, instead of just treating the symptoms.

Chakra Balancing
Cronulla Clinic or online

Chakra balancing is the practice of harmonising and aligning the body's energy centers to improve physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being.
The chakras are points of energy along the spine, each associated with specific aspects of life and physical/emotional symptoms. If one or more chakras are out of balance, it may manifest as physical symptoms, emotional struggles, or mental blockages.

Balancing the chakras can involve various techniques, such as meditation; breathwork; yoga; crystal healing; sound healing and aromatherapy.

When the chakras are balanced, the body and mind function more harmoniously, leading to improved health, emotional stability, and a deeper sense of inner peace.

FAQs
Kinesiology uses muscle testing as a tool to identify imbalanced and/or stressed areas in the body. By applying gentle pressure on specific muscles, a kinesiologist can ask questions of the body and find pockets of stress and tension. These imbalances may indicate physical, emotional, or energetic disruptions, and kinesiology aims to restore balance and improve health.
Energetic Medicine refers to healing practices that focus on the body’s energy systems. At Nueva Ola we use modalities such as acupressure, massage, guided meditation, chakra balancing, sound and crystal therapy - all aiming to balance and optimize the flow of energy in the body for physical, emotional, and mental well-being.
Energetic Medicine is based on the concept that the body has energy pathways and disruptions, stagnation or imbalances in these pathways can lead to illness or emotional distress. The techniques listed above are used to balance, clear, and restore the body’s energy flow to promote healing.

While there is ongoing research in the field of energy medicine, some of the concepts remain outside the mainstream medical understanding. Many practitioners and patients report positive outcomes, and some scientific studies support the benefits of energetic healing practices, especially in stress reduction, pain management, and emotional well-being.
Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) has utilised energetic healing for over 2,000 years, while yoga and Ayurvedic medicine have incorporated energy healing as a core practice for more than 5,000 years.
The number of sessions will depends on your specific concerns and goals. Some people may experience improvement after just one session, while others may need ongoing support. Your kinesiologist will help determine the best approach for you.
