Kinesiology and Mind Body Medicine are alternative, natural, and holistic therapies that focus on muscle monitoring, movement, and energy flow to assess and treat physical, emotional, and energetic imbalances. We use gentle muscle monitoring to ask questions of the body, tapping into answers that go beyond the thinking mind. People often ask me:
“How can Kinesiology work online?”
“Is it as effective as an in-person session?”

From my experience, I can confidently say that online appointments can be just as effective and powerful as face-to face sessions. This is possible because Kinesiology and Mind Body Medicine work with energy, which is not restricted to time or space. This means healing can be facilitated even from a distance.
There are many different ways that practitioners work online. For me, the process is very similar to what would happen in a face-to-face session. I will still use muscle monitoring to assess stress levels and imbalances in energy flow and emotions, but I will either guide you to monitor your own muscles (with detailed explanation) or I may ‘surrogate’ and use my own muscles to communicate with your energy field.
We’ll then choose a focus for the session – either a specific goal or an issue. A goal might be an affirmation, such as:
“I love myself unconditionally”,
“I am worthy, regardless of what I do” or
“I am open to the stillness within”
Alternatively, we might work on an issue, like neck or back pain. We can use the pain as a stepping off point to see where the body leads us. There may be an emotional component to the pain that needs to be worked through or released.

Next, we will work with the muscles and energy meridians to bring any stress surrounding the goal or issue to the surface so it can be more easily released.
I will then ask the body what it needs for healing to occur. We may work with the energy meridians and acupoints. If this is the case, I will hold the relevant acupoint(s) on myself while you hold them on yourself. This is such a powerful way of working, as it reinforces the idea that you are in control of your own healing journey. Other methods we may use include balancing chakras, releasing limiting beliefs, breathwork, relaxation techniques, movement and sound healing.
Finally, we will review our work together, discuss anything that might have come up or may have shifted and ways for you to continue the work at home.
Some additional benefits of working online:
Save time by eliminating the need to travel
Join from anywhere in the world
Choose a practitioner based on your connection with them, rather than their location
Relax fully after the session, allowing the benefits to flow, without rushing back into daily life
Requirements for an online session:
A computer, phone or laptop with a camera and internet connection (Zoom will be used for the session)
A quiet space where you will be undisturbed, with room to move and the ability to lie down comfortably
Simple props like a cushion, pillow, bed, or yoga mat may be helpful.
