Yin Yoga is often seen as “just a good stretch” or “a gentle, relaxing practice.” While it can be both, it offers so much more. In a world where our lives are often fast-paced, busy, and driven by stress (very Yang), Yin Yoga provides a perfect counterbalance, helping us to rejuvenate and restore.

Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) teaches that the free flow of our life force energy, or qi, is essential to our overall health. Qi flows through energy pathways known as Meridians, and these pathways can become blocked or stagnant due to physical or emotional stress. Yin Yoga helps to release these blockages and restore the natural flow of qi throughout the body.

In this workshop, you will:

• Learn about the 5 Elements of TCM and the 12 Meridians associated with them

• Understand how to recognize when one or more elements are out of balance within you

• Create your own Yin Yoga practice specifically designed to bring YOU to harmony

• Explore additional strategies to balance your Yin and Yang energies

  
  

Each participant will receive a workbook and 5 Yin practices to take home—each one designed to address a specific elemental imbalance.
